Serbian Arbitration Act was adopted on in May 2006, and published in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No.46 / 2006).

Arbitration Act, in accordance with internationally accepted standards seeks to regulate all aspects of arbitraton proceedure - constitution of the arbitral tribunal, arbitration proceeding, arbitral awards, as well as recognition and enforcement of the arbitral awards before the national courts. Arbitration Act is based on the modern concept of arbitration, as it incorporates some of the provisions of the UNCITRAL arbitration rules, as well as certain solutions from comparative law.
